Arbor Day Celebration

The Tree Committee is hosting its annual Arbor Day celebration on Saturday morning, April 29th.  All residents are invited to help us celebrate the wonderful trees in West Newbury and to recognize their ecological and aesthetic contribution to our everyday lives.  In addition, Tree Committee members will be available to answer questions about trees and tree care.  The following events are being planned:

9:30-10:00 AM - Children's Program about Trees and Forests (at GAR Library)
10:00-11:30 AM - Tree Seedling Give Away - 10 Black Walnut, 10 Sugar Maple, 10 Red Oak, 10 Silver Maple, and 10 Paper Birch - first come, first served (at GAR Library grounds)
12:00-1:00 PM - Guided tree walk and visit to the State Champion Black Oak (at west end of Main Street with parking near Pentucket High School)
