Professional Invasive Plant Management on Town Owned Land
The town of West Newbury has engaged a contractor to professionally manage invasive plants on certain parcels of town owned land in West Newbury. This work began September 30, 2023 and will continue through June 30, 2024. This important work was funded at Spring 2023 town meeting and permitted by the West Newbury Conservation Commission, the state’s Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program, and MA DEP during summer 2023.

Presentations by Invasive Plant Interns
The town of West Newbury has had interns for two summers, 2022 and 2023, engaged in mapping and managing invasive plants on town owned land. At the end of the internship, each summer's interns prepared and presented to the Select Board the data they collected, the work that was completed, and provided recommendations for future invasive plant management work.
