Public Input Sought Regarding Proposed MassDOT Signage near Rocks Village Bridge

Please submit any comments to selectboard@wnewbury.org
RVB overstreet sign

The Select Board is in ongoing conversations with MassDOT regarding advanced notification signage leading up to the Rocks Village Bridge. Taking into account public input received to date, and discussion at multiple Select Board meetings, the Board is in agreement regarding most of the proposed new and modified signage.

One proposed sign remains under review.  MassDOT initially proposed an over-street sign, with a strike bar, along Bridge Street near its intersection with Ferry Lane.  (The sign initially proposed can be found in a prior News/Announcement, here).  At the Board's request, MassDOT prepared an updated rendering showing an over-street sign on Bridge Street, located closer to the bridge itself.

At this time, the Board is seeking additional public input regarding this proposed signage.

Just below in this post you will find the rendering of the proposed sign on the West Newbury side of the Rock Village Bridge.

Any and all comments, ideas, questions, or concerns please submit to selectboard@wnewbury.org

The Board will next be discussing this matter at its meeting on Monday evening at 6pm in the 1910 Building, First Floor Hearing Room, just prior to Special Town Meeting on Monday at 7pm (in the Annex).

Thank you for your time and consideration!
