West Newbury Garden Club Talk

Please join the West Newbury Garden Club on Thursday, November 2, 2023 for a presentation by Katie Banks Hone on how she transformed her typical suburban property along the Ipswich River to an environment supporting birds, bees, and butterflies.  Katie will share her story of how she converted non-native foundation plantings to native pollinator gardens and how her backyard eroding slopes became terraced rain gardens. Her garden rooms overflow with over 80 species of native plants.  She will also explain how she conserves water along on one of the nation's top ten endangered rivers.

The meeting is held at the Annex of the 1910 Building at 381 Main St., West Newbury and begins at 6:30 p.m.  Guests are welcome to attend the presentation for a $5.00 guest fee.  We hope to see you there.
