West Newbury Garden Club Plant Sale

It's that time of year again!  The West Newbury Garden Club is preparing for its annual PLANT SALE which will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 8:30 to 11:30 am at the Training Field.  In the last several years, the Club has been able to offer two $3,000 scholarships, and that is all due to the patronage and assistance of the West Newbury gardening community.

To ensure the club has enough pots for digging and transplanting for the sale, the club is having another Plant Container Drive Saturday and Sunday, April 20 – 21. If you have 1or 2 gallon plastic pots, please drop them off on the left side of the Town Hall across from the Training Field.  If the barrels are full, please put them in large trash bags or tucked along the wall so they don't roll into the street.   Clean, washed pots are greatly appreciated.

Do you have any plants you wish to donate?  The club's digging committee is ready to lend a hand.  Experienced gardeners are willing to split those overgrown hostas and divide perennials that need room to grow.  Contact Helena Dion at helenadion61@gmail.com to arrange for a visit from the club's digging committee.  We are ready, willing and able to give you a hand!
