Vacancy on Town Parks & Recreation Commission

Call for volunteer to serve until the next Town election on May 6th, 2024!

Earlier today, the Town received notice that a member of the Parks & Recreation Commission has vacated their seat.

Because the Commission is an elected body, a vacancy that occurs during a member's term may be filled by a joint appointment of the Select Board and the remaining members of the Commission.

This is a call for volunteers who may be interested in serving the remainder of the vacated term, until the next Town election to be held on May 6th, 2024.  The balance of the member's term (from May 6, 2024 through May 5, 2025) will be determined based on the results of the Town election to be held on May 6th, 2024.

Please submit a completed Application for Appointment to the Town Clerk's Office by email at townclerk@wnewbury.org or drop it off at the office.  Hard copies of the Application for Appointment can also be picked up at the Town Clerk's office.
