Updates from the G.A.R. Memorial Library

Saturday hours... Poet Tree... and Upcoming Programs!

Saturday hours are almost back!

Beginning Saturday, September 12, the Library will now be open for curbside pickup on Saturdays from 9 AM -1 PM.

Submit to our Poet Tree!

During these uncertain times, why not rest awhile and dream beneath our Poet Tree! Please email us your favorite poem or a poem you wrote yourself and we will add it to our Poet Tree outside the library. Poems for all ages encouraged! Send submissions to: ask@westnewburylibrary.org.

The Poet Tree

Underneath the poet tree
Come and rest awhile with me
And watch the way the word web weaves
Between the shady story leaves.

The branches of the poet tree
Reach from the mountains to the sea.
So come and dream, or come and climb –
Just don't get hit by falling rhymes.

-Shel Silverstein
