Temporary closures on River Road, Middle Street, and Indian Hill Street

During today's wind and rain storm, West Newbury's public works and West Newbury Public Safety crews are hard at work!
Indian Hill Street is closed at I-95 due to downed wires. This is expected to be a long duration incident.
Middle Street is closed between Archelaus Hill Road and Middle Street. Trees and poles/wires are down, and this is expected to be a long duration incident.
There is a large tree downed across the roadway at 184 River Road. Traffic can access to 184 River Road from the Bridge Street side; access to properties east of 184 River Road can only access from Coffin Street. River Road is expected to be fully reopened shortly (updated as of 2:00pm).
Work to clear these blockages is ongoing.
