Middle Street/Artichoke River Bridge

Updates posted to Town website - and call for support letters for grant application due on August 9th!

The Town is actively working on a MassWorks grant application to support continued work on the Middle Street / Artichoke River Bridge.  Design work is well underway, supported by a MassDOT Municipal Small Bridge Improvements grant awarded to the City of Newburyport in 2018, but additional design and construction funds will be needed.

We invite letters of support from residents interested in the bridge - these will be very helpful to ensure a competitive grant application!

Letters may be sent to dpwdirector@wnewbury.org, dropped off at the town offices (Town Manager's office), or supportive posts can be posted here for inclusion with the Town's grant submittal.

The grant application is due on August 9th, so please submit your comments soon, and thanks!
