This election is a regional election held in the 11 communities within the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District

The Final day to register to voter for the Special Election is on Saturday, January 13, 2024 

Town Clerks Office will be open until 5pm

Special Election Schedule 2024

This schedule is for the Special Election on January 23rd 2024. This election is a regional election held in the 11 communities within the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District. Vote-by-mail and early voting will not be an option for this particular election due to the Massachusetts General Law that governs regional school district elections. However, Absentee balloting is still an option if you are unable to vote in person on election day, January 23rd, between the hours of 11am to 7pm. If you are a registered voter in the Town of West Newbury, you may qualify for an Absentee ballot for one of the following reasons; if you will be outside of West Newbury from 11am to 7pm on January 23rd, if you have been hospitalized and are unable leave the hospital on or before election, if you have a religious reason, or if you have disability that prevents you from voting in person.
