An Invitation to Attend a Special Presentation Hosted by West Newbury Organizations

Nature's Best Hope
nature's best hope

Please join four of our West Newbury volunteer organizations on April 28 at 7 p.m. to hear award winning author Doug Tallamy describe how each of us can help combat global declines in bird and insect populations.  Tallamy explains why choices we make for our yards and gardens can reverse the planet’s loss of biodiversity and why we are “Nature’s Best Hope”.   Sponsored by the Open Space Committee, West Newbury Garden Club, Gulf of Maine Institute and West Newbury Wild and Native and generously hosted by Essex County Greenbelt Association, registration for the program is free but required.  Registration is limited to 500 people so register soon and cancel if you find out later that you will be unable to join.

This event is intended to kick off programs, projects and efforts by the sponsoring groups aimed at drawing attention to the importance of planting native plants, providing habitat for our pollinators, eradicating invasive plants from our yards and conservation lands and more.  Stay tuned for more information!
