Local poet, Ann McCrea, began writing haiku after she retired. With an abundance of time to explore, she developed a new connection to her natural surroundings and an increased awareness and appreciation of this area’s natural beauty. Inspired by her walks along the Merrimack River and tidal marshes, she began writing haiku. Upon turning 83, she decided to gather her poems in a book, so others could read them.
Join Ann as she discusses haiku and her journey to publishing, and reads from her book, “Haiku through the Seasons.”
