CODE RED NOTICE
The West Newbury Water Department will be conducting fire-flow test on Wednesday, October 26th. Hydrant flushing is required to estimate the fire flows during emergency situations. Hydrant flushing will start at 9:00 AM and continue through 3:00 PM. Hydrant flushing may cause the water to become discolored as sediment is removed from the water system and you may experience intervals of low water pressure as well.
Please refrain from doing laundry during those hours. Residents are advised to run the cold water first to make sure the water runs clear. Avoid using bleach whenever possible.
