Department of Public Works Starting Roadway Paving This Week

The West Newbury Department of Public Works (DPW) will be starting roadway paving this week on the following streets:

  • Crane Neck Street – Between Georgetown Road to Dead End.
  • Georgetown Road – Small 200-foot section just west of Tewksbury Lane at culvert crossing.
  • Stewart Street – From Main Street to Sawmill Brook Road.
  • Whetstone Street – North of Follinsbee Lane to Dead End.

Please expect some minor delays on these streets over the next two weeks. We plan to only pave half of the roadway at one time so residents and emergency vehicles can access the homes. The paving preparation and paving will occur between the hours of 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. A DPW representative and/or Police Officer will be on-site to assist with any access issues during the paving operation.
