Event Date:
Thursday, January 14, 2021 - 7:00pm
Nancy Pau, Wildlife Biologist at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and Carol Decker, former Sanctuary Director at Mass Audubon’s Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary will discuss how to identify invasive plants found in West Newbury, why they are dangerous to our local ecology, methods to control them, and why planting native is the best choice. They will  share ideas from a newly formed working group to control invasive plants and promote native plants and pollinator species.  Come learn about the Top Ten most un-wanted plants in your neighborhood, and find out how you can join the effort to keep West Newbury Native and Wild.

The meeting will be held via ZOOM.  If interested please send an e-mail to Linda Schaeffer at Linda-Schaeffer@verizon.net  by Tuesday, January 12th with your name and e-mail.  She will send interested participants the link on Wednesday, January 13th.
