Seeking a Trustee on the G.A.R. Library Board

The G.A.R. Library Board of Trustees and the Board of Selectmen are currently searching for a volunteer to serve as a Trustee on the Library’s Board. 

Due to the mid-term departure of a current member, the Library Board of Trustees now has an opening for a town resident to serve as a Trustee on an interim basis until the next town election in the spring of 2020.  Among other responsibilities, the Board of Trustees sets operational policies and oversees the finances of the Library.  The Board meets monthly except during July and August.

If interested, please complete an Application for Appointment, also available on the town’s website on the Board of Selectmen page here.

In conjunction with the Board of Selectmen, the Library Board would like to fill the vacancy on this Committee as soon as possible.  Accordingly, an Application for Appointment should be submitted no later than July 15, 2019.  If interested, please either drop off your application at the Office of the Board of Selectmen or send it via email to selectmen@wnewbury.org.
