Town Offices to Reopen for Public Access Effective Tuesday, June 1, 2021

Hours of Operation and Guidelines

   At its meeting on Monday, May 24, 2021, the Select Board approved a plan to reopen the Town Offices as of Tuesday, June 1st.  Office hours and contact information are posted below. 

   At this time, we are requesting that visitors:

  • upon entry, review a list of COVID “self-certification” questions (i.e. no fever, symptoms, COVID contacts, etc.).  If you answer any of the questions "yes," we ask that you please postpone your visit.
  • continue to wear face coverings in common areas
  • use of hand sanitizer/hygiene protocols is encouraged
  • please limit your stay to the time needed to complete the purpose(s) of your visit
  • for visitors dropping off payments and not needing a receipt, there are secure and clearly-marked drop-boxes in the foyer for payment of water bills, property tax and excise tax
  • whenever possible, visitors remain within common areas.

   As you know, effective May 29th, there are no mandated gathering limits in the Commonwealth, and the statewide face covering guidance will revert to advisory.  Vaccines are widely available, and 75-80% of local residents are vaccinated.  Some of the local policy measures above exceed these standards, and are being supported to allow for a reasonable transition from what has been a long period of public declared health emergency.

   The Board will revisit these policies at its meeting on Monday, June 28th, and based on how things are going at that point may rescind the expectation for masking, or make other changes.

   In the meantime, we are excited to welcome everyone back to the Town Offices!
