Invasive Species: Informational Class and Site Walk

The West Newbury Open Space Committee is sponsoring an informational class and site walk regarding Invasive Species!

Parker River Refuge wildlife biologist and West Newbury resident Nancy Pau will conduct a tour of the town's invasive plant species on Sept. 22 from 1-3 p.m.  (Raindate: Sunday, September 29th, 2019.) 

Before the walk, she will offer a class on how to download the iNaturalist app on your mobile phone and then let participants see it in action on short portion of a trail Riverbend Trail!

The session will start at the Annex at 381 Main Street (The 1910 Building) then proceed to Riverbend via carpool.

Pre-registration is required.  You may click here to sign up. 

The session is free, but registration will be limited to 25 people.  Please register only two (2) persons per email address to ensure room for interested parties. Additional instructions for parking, meeting places, and any change in walk dates will be sent to the e-mail address provided during registration.
