The Town of West Newbury is subject to a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit from the US EPA.  The permit governs stormwater discharges to Waters of the United States. 

As part of our permit compliance, we partner with the Greenscapes initiative of Salem Sound Coastwatch.  The information provided here, which was prepared by Greenscapes and ThinkBlue Massachusetts, is offered to West Newbury residents as suggested lawn and garden maintenance schedule and practices.
