Board of Health Requests Volunteers

We need both medical and non-medical volunteers!

The West Newbury Board of Health, along with the Mass Department of Public Health and the Medical Reserve Corps, are planning for the potential need of additional volunteers in the event of potential Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community.

We need both medical and non-medical volunteers!

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units are community-based and function as a way to locally organize and utilize volunteers who want to donate their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies and promote healthy living throughout the year.  MRC volunteers supplement existing emergency and public health resources.

If you would like to volunteer and register or if you need additional information on the Medical Reserve Corps, please refer to https://www.maresponds.org/index.php, or contact our unit leader Liisa Jackson: LiisaJackson@mrcvolunteer.org  1-774-278-0059 or contact Paul Sevigny, Health Agent at psevigny@wnewbury.org.

Thank you for considering taking part in West Newbury’s ability to respond to and assist your neighbors’ health and well-being during this health emergency.
