WEST NEWBURY AWARDED $75,815 IN 2020 GREEN COMMUNITY GRANT FUNDING

The Energy Advisory Committee is pleased to announce that West Newbury is one of 103 communities in the state to receive a Green Communities grant in the 2020 competitive awards process. Grants ranged in amount from $200,000 to cities like Springfield to $9,000 to Whitman. The $75,815 grant for West Newbury will enable the Town to upgrade controls in Town Offices and to purchase a hybrid vehicle. This is another step in the Town’s steady pursuit of energy efficiency, which benefits both Town finances and the environment.
