West Newbury Energy Advisory Committee Meeting

Potential Green Communities Energy Grant Proposals
Event Date:
Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 8:30pm

The West Newbury Energy Advisory Committee (WNEAC) is holding a brief meeting this Wednesday, January 18th from 8:30 - 9:30 am in the First Floor Hearing Room at the 1910 Building to seek input from town department heads and committee chairs on potential Green Communities energy grant proposals that we could pursue in the upcoming grant solicitation, or to discuss any other thoughts you might have of improvements that might be made in the Municipality's energy systems and usage. Grant proposals are due to Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources by March 3, 2017. WNEAC has several potential energy efficiency projects identified from a previous evaluation that we'll discuss.  We are not limited to these projects and believe the Town would benefit from sharing of your ideas.  In the past, the WNEAC applied for and the Town received a Green Communities grant of $140,900 that was used for energy efficient lighting retrofits in the 1910 Building, Public Safety Complex, GAR Library, and Page School.
